Ross on Wye is located conveniently just off the A40 in the Wye Valley, close to Monnouth in Herefordshire. Ross is situated in a beautiful part of the country offering dramatic countryside landscapes with the beautiful River Wye running through. Herefordshire is a stunning county with fantastic walking through breathtaking scenery. Foodies enthuse about the range of produce from a wealth of farm shops and eateries. Adrenalin seekers are satisfied by the River Wye rapids, rock climbing, mountain biking, zip wires and hill climbing. Explorers have a wide variety of attractions to keep them busy including steam railways historic buildings, museums and landmarks.
Perrygrove Railway Armed with a key, clues and a day of fun ahead, explore the whole of Perrygrove to unlock your box of treasure. A trip takes just over 30 minutes but most passengers get off to go to the picnic and play area at Foxy Hollow, or to go treasure hunting or den building in the woods. There is no charge for extra rides – your ticket lasts all day and you can ride the steam train as many times as you like.
